Dr. Matthew Kettman

Dr. Matthew Kettman was born in Waterloo and raised in Gilbertville, Iowa. He attended Don Bosco High School, Marycrest College, and later the University of Iowa School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family practice locally. His interest in aesthetics began in 2017, leading him to establish Kettman Aesthetics within the same clinic as his family practice. Three years ago, Crystal Schrader, one of the best nurse practitioner students he had taught years prior, approached him about joining forces, and together they created Evolve.

Dr. Kettman has a wonderful family, including his wife and their two daughters, who currently attend high school in Cedar Falls. His parents still reside in Gilbertville.

In addition to medicine, he is an experienced musician and vocalist. He has performed in several bands over the years, typically in the rock and heavy metal genres, and still performs occasionally. His current band, “Boogie Rx,” includes 11 members—five of whom are physicians—and features a full horn section. The group performs 70s disco music in themed attire. Dr. Kettman also enjoys writing and recording music and has multiple albums available on Spotify and Apple Music, including his self-titled project, “Matthew Kettman and the Southpaws,” created in collaboration with local musicians.

He continues to practice as a family physician and operates a clinic located just across the street from Evolve. Outside of work, he enjoys exercising and spending time with his family. He also founded an elementary school in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, which he continues to support monthly, although he has been unable to visit in recent years due to ongoing political instability.

At Evolve, his primary professional focus is regenerative medicine. He treats painful joints, supports hair regrowth, and specializes in men’s sexual wellness by using the body’s natural healing abilities through modalities such as PRP and stem cells.

Dr. Kettman looks forward to meeting new clients and helping them on their wellness journey. He extends sincere appreciation to everyone who has shown interest in Evolve, and especially to the many loyal customers who have contributed to its success over the years.
