Your aesthetic specialist will perform a thorough consultation to determine the best approach and plan of care for your needs and desired look.
A topical anesthetic is typically applied.
Treatment time varies from 30-60 minutes depending on area treated. Protective glasses will be placed over your eyes for safety. There will be an audible “buzzing” sound during the procedure as the laser is moved across the surface.
Most patients find the treatment comfortable. At times you may feel a warm or stinging sensation.
There is minimal downtime. You may resume most normal activities immediately. It is advised to keep areas treated warm and to avoid direct air cooling. You ma use a mineral spray post procedure for comfort. It is recommended that you avoid direct sun exposure and use mineral sunscreen 24 hours post HALO ™. You may resume your regular sunscreen 24 hours post procedure. It is advised that you avoid tretinoin, retinol, vitamin serums the day of HALO ™. You may resume your usual skin care regimen after the peeling process is complete. You may place makeup as per usual 24 hours post treatment.
Most patients find the treatment comfortable. At times you may feel a warm or stinging sensation.
Slight redness and sensation of sunburn/windburn may also be noted post procedure. While many patients have slight discomfort during/immediately after the treatment, some patients experience no discomfort at all.
Face treatments typically have peeling that lasts 5-7 days.
Body treatments (neck and chest) have peeling that last 7-14 days.
Most individuals see results between day 2 and 5 after their HALO™ treatment. The skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in skin in the first 2-3 weeks.
Indefinitely! As long as you continue to keep your new health skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen.
Some individuals may chose maintenance treatments as they get more birthdays due to normal changes in collagen and elastin that occur to the skin over time.

You should not receive a BBL ™ treatment if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Likewise, if you have a history of epilepsy. Notify provider of any current medical history of cancer, especially skin cancer or pre-malignant moles. Notify provider of prior history of herpes simplex infection, psoriasis, eczema, rash or excessively/newly tanned skin. You should avoid tanning beds 2-4 weeks prior to treatment, self-tanner 2 weeks prior to treatment, and overt sun exposure 2 weeks prior to treatment. Be sure to notify provider as well if you have the following: an impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases or are on immunosuppressive medications; severe cardiac disease, liver or kidney disease; uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid dysfunction; uncontrolled hypertension; history of keloid scarring or any condition that might impair healing of skin. Be sure to discuss with your provider any surgical, invasive or ablative procedure in the treatment area in the last three months, use of isotretinoin (Accutane) within last 6 months, or any placement of fillers or Botox in past 2 weeks. Be sure to alert provider if you have had PDO threads placed in last 2 weeks as well.
