What can I expect during a typical IV therapy treatment?
The nurse or nurse practitioner will provide a thorough consultation to discuss your IV therapy needs. Vitals (blood pressure and heart rate) will be checked and an assessment of your heart and lungs will be completed.
The next step includes placing a small cannula into your arm for the IV infusion. This will feel like a small pinch. Once the IV is infusing, you may experience slight cooling of the arm and/or a mineral taste in the mouth. This is normal.
How long does the treatment take?
Typically, IV treatments take 30-45 minutes.
NAD+ infusions take approximately 2 hours.
B12 injections take just a few minutes.
What are the typical side effects?
You may experience slight redness at the site of IV injection. You may experience slight cooling of the arm and/or a mineral taste in the mouth during the infusion. Although rare, some individuals could experience an allergic reaction to the ingredients in the IV therapy kit.
What is the downtime post IV therapy infusion?
There is no downtime. You may resume normal activities with enhanced energy as scheduled.
How long will the results last?
Each person is different in regards to length of treatment effects. It is best for some treatments to be administered on a scheduled basis, typically bi-weekly. Your IV therapy is best tailored to your lifestyle.
Who should not receive IV therapy?
You should not receive IV therapy if you have kidney or heart problems. Please check with your primary care provider if you’re unsure if you can have IV therapy.
